Chalet La Luge

After a hard day's skiing you may find shopping and cooking a meal a little tiresome, or you & the children may be too tired to go out for a meal. We can provide 2 course meals, for example, Turkey Tagine, vegetable and preserved lemon couscous followed by frozen raspberry mousse or a rich meat lasagne, mixed green salad then Chocolate Gateau for afters; all you need to do is pop it in the oven to reheat - ready by the time you've had a shower and drink! The catering we offer is all freshly prepared by a professional chef, you need only to decide on which evenings you would like to take advantage of this service, just one night or several!

To make things even easier we offer a 'shopping hamper' which will be in the chalet ready for your arrival. We have created a shopping list of essentials, from breakfast items to wine and beer, you choose what you want from the list and we do the shopping for you.

Accommodation

Open plan living room - with wood burning fireplace, big comfortable sofas, large flat screen TV, X-Box and stereo. Dining area - social dining at the circular table
Kitchen - Fully equipped with dishwasher, fan oven, ceramic hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, cafetiere, teapot, and full range of crockery, cutlery, utensils and equipment.
3 bedrooms and another room available with a sofa bed, to sleep 8 in total. Sauna.

Entrance hall - with hanging space and boot & shoe storage. The underfloor heating allows the boots to dry out overnight.
WC / utility - with washing machine and hanging rail for snowy clothes
Open plan living dining room with full height ceiling to the rafters, wood burning fireplace, doors opening onto the terrace
Lower ground floor
- 2 Double bedrooms, 1 with large ensuite with bath & bidet, both have glass doors to the terrace, both with lots of cupboards
- 1 shower room, with basin and WC;
- the sauna;
Mezzanine floor
- 1 double sofa bed in upstairs area;
- twin bedroom
In addition there is safe storage for skis and boards; shelving, vacuum cleaner, iron and board.

"Chalet Marie was perfect for our family Christmas. The views over the valley were only blighted by the depth of snow along the balcony ballustrade! We skied from the chalet to the piste down to the cable car in Tzoumaz and then all day in Savolyere and over to Verbier. At the end of the day we took our sledges back on the slopes and had our own family downhill competition. We decided to take our own food and Mini has the kitchen equipped with everything you need for a big family. A perfect chalet for grown up children aged 17 - 23, bedrooms comfortable, plenty of living room with big setees to cosey down on to watch DVDs on the flat screen in the evenings. Our only complaint - We didn't get to light the log burner because it was too warm in the Chalet - and who'd complain about that. We'll definitely be back." CowleyGang Jan2010

Availability/Booking

Please check availability on our calendar below. Bookings are usually taken from Saturday to Saturday. You will be able to collect the keys from 4pm on your arrival date and must vacate the property by 10am the following Saturday. Please contact us if you would like to arrive outside of these days/times as we will try to accommodate everyone's wishes.

Please note: this chalet is non-smoking, please only smoke outside and use the pots provided to dispose of your cigarettes. It may be possible to bring your dog with you to this chalet.

* Prices are quoted in Chf; the other currencies are provided as a guide ony. Payments to be made in Swiss francs.

Included in the price:
The price shown for the week includes quality bed linen and towels for up to 8 people. The price also includes the cleaning of the chalet, although we do ask that you leave the chalet tidy.

Electricity is charged locally at 0.3 Chf per Kw.
Firewood is available (to be paid locally) please ask when booking or can be arranged with us on arrival

A security deposit of Chf 300 will be requested on arrival. This is required in case of damage to the chalet, or if excessive cleaning is necessary. At the end of your stay we will read the electricity meter and take payment for Tourist Tax, please ensure you have enough cash at the end of the week. We will verify that all is OK at the end of your stay and your deposit will be returned to you.
