Deciduous trees changing colour in Autumn

Autumn

The autumn colours are quite beautiful. Amongst the pines there are plenty of deciduous trees changing to their winter hibernation. The weather remains warm during the day, only cooling off once the sun goes down.

A perfect time for painters and artists to take advantage of the scenery. Many places can be reached by our 4x4. We will happily take you to some fabulous spots with all your equipment, provide you with lunch (by arrangement) and bring you back to the chalet with your masterpieces!

Try the local wine - take a tour to one (or more!) of the local vineyards, the Swiss keep their wine to themselves as little is exported so it’s not

well known but it’s certainly worth trying! With vineyards all around we have a big choice of great locally-produced wines and we would be happy to organise wine-tasting events for you.

Have a bit of a forage – mushrooms grow in abundance, in particular the cep or porcini, Mini will happily help you identify and then rustle up something delicious with them for dinner. (This picture is most definately not one you should eat!)

We’ve got plenty of other suggestions too!

At this time of year the chalet can be booked on a half board or B & B basis for groups who want to take advantage of this beautiful time of year. Ideally suited to those who want to avoid the school holidays and indulge in perhaps some less energetic activities.
