The first snow of winter and what a view from Chalet La Luge, La Tzoumaz

Winter

Accommodation at our catered chalet is offered on a weekly half board basis: breakfast, afternoon tea is served every day with an elegant 5 course dinner with wine 6 nights a week. Use of the outside hot tub and the sauna.
Our other 5 chalets are offered on a self catered basis or with partial catering. Chalet Rosablanche sleeps 8, Chalet Tranquille sleeps 8-10, Chalet Marie sleeps 6-8 and Chalet La Couronne and Chalet Coquelicot both sleep 10.
We recommend flying into either Geneva or Sion, which is a mere 30 minutes, Snowjet are operating winter flights. Geneva is about 1h 40mins by car or alternatively take the train direct to Martigny and then a short transfer, only 25 minutes from Chalet La Luge. We will be pleased to help arrange transfers.
The skiing and boarding options are legendary. With good snow cover it

is possible to almost ski back to the chalet, although some beginners may decide not to! It is only a 10 minute walk to the nearest lifts - either downhill to the brand-new gondola, or uphill to the "Baby Lift" nursery slope and "Etablons" chair lift. The bus stop is only 100m if you don’t fancy a warm up first, the free ski bus runs frequently in both directions.

Fancy a change? - get out on a pair of snowshoes and take a hike into the mountains away from the crowds. A sport that is increasing in popularity year on year which is no surprise. You can wander at your leisure or take a guide.

Sledging. La Tzoumaz has a fantastic 10km sledge run and is something everyone should do when they’re here! Watch this: YouTube

The swimming pool is open and there’s ice skating at the outdoor rink.
